NVTV – Corinne Oestreich: Oglala/Lakota-Blackfoot

Cihuapilli Rose Amador LeBeau interviews Corinne Oestreich (Oglala/Lakota-Blackfoot), multi-talented Jingle Dress Dancer, Professional Photographer (for 5 years: Outdoor Engagements, Weddings and Portraits), Theatrical Actor-Dancer (Currently in a Musical – Fiddler on the Roof) at San Jose Sunnyvale Community Players Theatre), School Teacher for 1st – 3rd graders (Supportive Resource for students to meet grade level standards) on Native Voice TV.

Corinne Oestreich has her roots in San Jose, California, Sonoma State University graduate (Major in Musical Theatre, Minor in Opera) and primarily works for PowWows.com as a (Outdoor, Natural Light) photographer and writer. LeBeau asks how she decides what articles to write? Do people recommend ‘Topics’?

She brings up that she originates her own ‘Topics’ and gives her latest article on the PowWow.com website, ‘Native American Students Achieving Greatness‘. She interviews ‘Joey Montoya‘ who had just graduated from San Jose State University.
Oestreich shares some of her photography and talks about some incidents that have happened along the way.

LeBeau asks about the ‘Gathering of the Nations‘ which Oestreich has attended for the first time (2017). She mentions that the event is awesome due to the New Venue the POW WOW takes place.

At the Alburqueque ‘Fairgrounds‘ but at the Tingley Coliseum (Named after Former Democratic Governor, Clyde Tingley – 11th Governor, 1935). A much larger venue for the event. Plenty of room for the Grand entry. 10,000 permanent seats. Room to have Rodeos, Monster Truck shows, large music events, etc.

LeBeau and Oestreich mention their past and current activisms (Standing Rock, Native American Walk) and diverse native american cultural heritages – ‘Respect and Honor‘.

This show is a must share.
