NVTV – Good Shield Aguilar (Lakota/Pasqua Yaqui) Activist/Entertainer

On Native Voice TV show Craig Pasqua (Co-Host) has Good Shield Aguilar (Lakota/Pasqua) as a Guest. Pasqua introduces Good Shield as Native Voice TV’s writer, singer and performer of its ‘Introduction’ song – “Indigenous Soul”.

Good Shield speaks about he was made aware from his aunt (Rosie Little Thunder) about the connection of Lakota tribe to the Buffalo. Since 2002, Good Shield has been involved in ‘Buffalo Field Campaign of Montana (www.BuffaloFieldCampaign.org). He mentions that outside of the Yellowstone National Park 1,000 ‘Genetically Pure’ Buffalo are killed per year.

The Buffalo Field Campaign has been trying to pass legislation to make Genetically Pure ‘Buffalo’ as an ‘Endangered’ species (for PROTECTION) and make the Buffalo a National mammal.

Good Shield entertains with five songs which two were originals from ‘Floyd Red Crow Westerman and his own three songs.
Good Shield ends the show with his contribution song to Native Voice TV – ‘Indigenous Soul’.

NVTV – Jesse Hernandez (Yaqui/Chicano) – ‘Urban Native & Urban Aztec’ Artist: Part 2

Cihuapilli Rose Amador interviews Jesse Hernandez (Yaqui/Chicano) of the Bay Area on Native Voice TVHernandez continues to show his art work and explains how his ‘Urban Vinly Designer Toys‘ originated from China and Japan. He shows his first production toy (limited edition of 100 in the world) ‘Aztec Rain God‘.

Hernandez continues with how he keeps pushing the envelope of keeping his original hand drawing into the ‘Digital’ software world. He uses Flash a two dimensional web animation program and creates his first animation, ‘Writers Block’ which was on Adams Film.

The show goes on to talk about his first big gig of the Filipino culture of Adult Cartoons called, ‘The Nutshack‘. This is a must SEE!

His art forms of ‘Urban Native & Urban Aztec‘ keeps the spiritual connection from his Indigenous culture but allows his modern art not to conform to any medium form. Current art form is what he calls,

Urban Vinyl“.

Cihuapilli Rose Amador interviews Jesse Hernandez (Yaqui/Chicano) of the Bay Area on Native Voice TV. Hernandez speaks about how he started his art career once he left high school and went to the ‘Art Institute of South Dakota’ and studied from a painter named ‘Robert Penn (Died Feb. 12, 1999) and Penn was influenced by the Oscar Howe (First – Contemporary Native American artist).
Hernandez continued his education and received his BSA in ‘Digital Media and Animation’ from San Francisco Art Institute. Hernandez had shown his art in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and other cities across the country.
His art forms of ‘Urban Native & Urban Aztec‘ keeps the spiritual connection from his Indigenous culture but allows his modern art not to conform to any medium form. Current art form is what he calls,

Urban Vinyl“.
Throughout the show he continues to show his various art forms.

NVTV – Eddie Madril (Pasqua/Yaqui)

Cihuapilli Rose Amador LeBeau interviews Eddie Madril (Pasqua/Yaqui) of his ‘Dance Group‘ opportunity to represent Native American culture in France on Native Voice TV.

Madril shares his experiences in Gannat, France of a 10 day festival, called ‘Festival of World Cultures’. For over 40 years, the South of the Allier has allowed itself a unique cultural celebration with over 65,000 festival-goers.

Madril makes note of the similarities of cultures of trying to maintain their identity of themselves through their cultures and traditions. Also how the various people from five continents perceived ‘Native Americans’?

This show is very interesting and is a MUST WATCH!.

NVTV – Kelly Gamboa (Apache)

Cihuapilli Rose Amador and Sundust Martinez interviews Kelly Gamboa (Apache), Program Co-ordinator American Indian Education Center (AIEC), San Jose, California
on Native Voice TV.

Gamboa gives the history of how the American Indian Education Center became into existence and now a non-profit 501.c3. She calls herself more than a program coordinator for she is person of ‘Jack of all Trades’.

The American Indian Education Center has been in existence for decades providing the K-12 students variety of educational resources (Transportation, Tutoring, Lunches, Healthcare, etc.)

The emphasis for the students is to incorporate Native Culture tradition and arts within their studies and engaging them in community involvement.

PAAW: Pathways to American Indian and Alaska Native Wellness

Al Cross, Paul Flores IV and Adrian Kendrick are guests with information about different aspects of the program.

ELIGIBILITY:
The study is open to Individuals with Indigenous Heritage including:
American Indians, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, Pacific Islanders and those Indigenous to the Americas.
Must be age 21+, +1 risk factor and English speaking.

The study is FREE, will be held in San Jose, CA and will last from August 2015-April 2016

Cihuapilli Rose Amador and Sundust Martinez interviews Eddie Madril (Pascua Yaqui) of southern Arizona and northern Sonora, Mexico on Native Voice TV.

Madril gives his biography of his dancing group, ‘Four Winds‘, of his perspectives of how people look at Native Americans. He speaks of the 550 tribes and several hundred native dialects which help educate and increase awareness
of the diversity ‘Indigenous’ people. He performs with his ‘HOOP‘ dancing and explains what it means.

Cihuapilli Rose Amador and Sundust Martinez interviews Chief Sunne Reyna on Native Voice TV. Reyna begins speaking of world wide prophecies in which there is a resemblance of ending and beginning. He speaks of the beginning of ‘Human World Evolution‘ due to many world prophecies which have been told.
The human value of ‘Greed’ and ‘Selfishness’ will end and the Human World Evolution of ‘Respect’ and ‘Sharing’ will be mostly valued.
